Common problems with woodpeckers are usually one of two things; either the damage of a home (because the home has or had a bug problem and the woodpecker pecked several holes around the home in search of the insects), or, the sound or drum (which is the act of banging on a roof vent, chimney cap, or siding to make as much noise as possible to try and find a mate).
